Fees & Commissions |
 |
Is there a fee to extend the listing?
DealYourOwn.com does require a re-listing fee after the contract expires. This is
a small fee (usually $50) to extend it.
Is the $1,000 fee due at closing mandatory even if I use my attorney?
Yes. This fee is not a closing fee. It acts as the remainder of our commission.
Unlike your attorney, we are involved in the whole sales process to coordinate everything
from inspections to closing paperwork.
What if I sell my home myself?
We’ll help negotiate the terms of the sale, fill out the purchase agreement and
handle the entire closing process. The only fee you’ll pay is the fee DealYourOwn.com
charges at the end of the process.
If another agent finds an acceptable offer for my home, do I have to pay them a
commission?
Yes. In our listing you will specify the amount of commission you will want to pay
other real estate agents that find a successful buyer.
May a buyer contact me directly after another real estate agent shows my home to
them?
They can contact you but you will still owe the real estate agent a commission if
customers successfully purchase your home.
How much commission do I have to pay to cooperating brokers?
Generally, DealYourOwn.com offers half of a normal commission to real estate agents
but commissions are negotiable and it’s up to you on how much commission you choose
to offer.
If a DealYourOwn.com representative finds a buyer for my home, do I still have to
pay a commission?
Yes. If we find a client to buy your home, you will owe us a commission as well.

How do other real estate agents sell my home?
We will set up an appointment to have them show your home or the agents can contact
you directly to schedule an appointment with their clients.
Will other brokers boycott my listing?
No. Our system is designed around full-service real estate agents still receiving
a normal commission so there’s no disadvantage to selling a DealYourOwn.com listing.
